PDF Converter - OCR Reader Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as "these Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you (hereinafter referred to as "User") and the developer of this application (hereinafter referred to as "we") regarding your download, installation, access, and use of the "PDF Converter - OCR Reader" application (hereinafter referred to as "the Application" or "Service"). These Terms are formulated in accordance with the Apple App Store Developer Code of Conduct and relevant regulatory requirements.

Please carefully read and fully understand all contents of these Terms before using this application for the first time, especially the clauses involving restrictions on rights and disclaimers. Once you download, install, access, or use this application, you are deemed to have fully read, understood, and accepted all the provisions of these Terms (including subsequent revisions and the Privacy Policy).

If you do not agree to any content of these Terms, you should immediately stop all use and uninstall this application.

Service Overview

This application is a multi-functional document processing tool. Core services include, but are not limited to: generating PDF files from scanned images using a camera; annotating PDF documents; and renaming, deleting, sharing, saving, and locating PDF, Word, PPT, and Excel files.

This application is distributed through the Apple App Store. While using this application, you must also comply with Apple's "Media Services Terms and Conditions" (link: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/). In the event of any conflict between these terms and those terms, Apple's terms shall prevail; otherwise, these terms shall apply.

This application primarily uses in-app advertising (IAA) for operational support. The specific rules regarding the display format and frequency of advertisements are subject to the actual presentation within the application.

IAA

You acknowledge and agree that, in order to support the free use of the core functions of this application, you will receive in-app advertisements pushed by us or our partner advertisers. The display method and location of advertisements are subject to the actual settings within the app. You can adjust your ad receiving preferences through your iOS device's system settings (such as Privacy - Advertising), subject to your device's capabilities. However, you must not block or interfere with ad display through illegal means.

Ad content is provided independently by the respective advertisers. We only provide an ad display platform and make no express or implied warranties regarding the authenticity, accuracy, completeness, or legality of the ad content. Any transactions or disputes arising between you and advertisers based on your reliance on ad information are unrelated to us, and we assume no responsibility.

Any interaction between you and advertisers (including participation in promotional activities, purchasing goods or services, etc.) is a separate legal relationship between you and the advertiser. We do not participate in it and assume no joint liability.

Data Storage

To protect your information security and privacy rights, PDF files and related personal data you create through this application are stored only on your local device, and you are responsible for their management and maintenance. We do not collect, store, or back up any of your file content on our own servers.

We highly value user privacy. For details regarding the collection, use, storage, and protection of your personal information, please refer to our Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy is an integral part of these Terms and Conditions and has the same legal effect. Except for functional requirements explicitly requested by you, we will not access or process your file content on the server side.

Intellectual Property

Application-Related Intellectual Property: All content of this application, including but not limited to source code, program architecture, database, user interface design, graphic materials, logo, text descriptions, and all software components, is protected by applicable intellectual property laws and regulations. All ownership and intellectual property rights belong exclusively to us. Without our written authorization, you may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise infringe upon such intellectual property rights.

You may not use Apple's trademarks, logo, or any associated marks unless you obtain official written authorization from Apple.

All PDF files, documents, images, and text information (collectively referred to as "User Content") that you scan, create, edit, or process through this application are the property of you or the original rights holder. You guarantee that you have legal ownership or right to use such user content and will not infringe upon the legitimate rights and interests of any third party by using such content.

User Conduct Guidelines

You promise to strictly abide by the following agreements while using this application and will not engage in any behavior that violates laws, regulations, or public order and good morals:

(a) You will not upload, scan, create, store, share, or disseminate any content that violates national laws, administrative regulations, departmental rules, or regulatory requirements;

(b) You will not include information that is defamatory, insulting, pornographic, gambling, violent, murderous, terrorist, or incites crime, or any other illegal or morally offensive information;

(c) You will not infringe upon the intellectual property rights, trade secrets, portrait rights, privacy rights, reputation rights, or other legitimate rights and interests of others;

(d) You will not engage in any behavior that interferes with or disrupts the normal operation of this application, including but not limited to reverse engineering, decompiling, disassembling, or using illegal technical means to circumvent security protection or interfere with server operation;

(e) Without our express written authorization, you will not use this application for commercial or profit-making activities.

Disclaimer

This application is provided "as is" and "available." While we have made reasonable efforts to ensure the normal operation of the service under current technological conditions, we make no express or implied warranties regarding the continuity, faultlessness, timeliness, security, or accuracy of the service.

You understand and agree that the use of this application may result in service interruptions or functional limitations due to network failures, device compatibility, system maintenance, etc., for which we are not liable.

You are solely responsible for the legality, authenticity, and security of the user content you create, store, and share. We do not guarantee the legality, accuracy, completeness, or security of any user content, nor are we liable for any consequences arising from user content violating laws and regulations or infringing on the rights of third parties.

This application may contain links to third-party websites or services. These links are provided solely for your convenience. Before accessing any third-party website or service, you should carefully read its privacy policy and terms of service. We cannot control the content, privacy policies, or operation of third-party websites or services, and are not responsible for their authenticity, legality, or security, nor do we assume any risk or liability arising from accessing such third-party resources.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages (including but not limited to data loss, loss of profits, business interruption, damage to goodwill, etc.) arising from your use of or inability to use this application, whether or not such damages are based on contract, tort, negligence, or other legal relationships.

Terms and Conditions Amendments

We reserve the right to revise these Terms and Conditions in accordance with updates to laws and regulations, adjustments to regulatory requirements, and optimizations to business functions. .The latest version is subject to the version displayed on the in-app page. Your continued use of this application after the terms and conditions are updated constitutes acceptance of all revised terms and conditions; if you do not agree to any version of the terms and conditions, you should immediately stop using and uninstall this application.

You may terminate these Terms and Conditions at any time by uninstalling this application; we reserve the right to suspend or terminate all or part of our services to you at any time without incurring liability for breach of contract if you violate these Terms and Conditions, comply with legal requirements, or for reasonable reasons such as business adjustments, provided that we notify you in advance through reasonable means (unless otherwise stipulated by laws and regulations).

Upon termination of this agreement, you should immediately cease using this application. We will no longer have any service obligations to you, but the independent clauses in these Terms concerning intellectual property protection, disclaimers, and limitations of liability will remain in effect.

These Terms (including the Privacy Policy) constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the services of this application. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be amended to reflect the original intent as closely as possible without affecting the validity of the remaining provisions; the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect and binding on both parties.
