PDF Converter - OCR Reader Privacy Policy

Last Updated: January 23, 2026

Dear User, thank you for choosing PDF Converter - OCR Reader (hereinafter referred to as "this application").

We always regard user privacy protection as a core responsibility and are committed to protecting your information security and legitimate rights through transparent and compliant information processing methods.

This Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as "this Policy") is formulated in accordance with the Apple App Store's "Developer Code of Conduct" and related regulatory requirements. It will inform you in detail about our rules regarding the collection, use, storage, protection, and sharing of information during your use of this application, as well as your legally protected information rights.

Please carefully read and fully understand the entire contents of this Policy before using this application. Your act of downloading, installing, accessing, or using this application constitutes your acceptance of and agreement to be bound by this Policy.

If you do not agree to any terms of this Policy, please do not use this application and uninstall it immediately.

Scope and Methods of Information Processing

Locally Stored User Core Content

All content generated by your scans to create PDFs, edit documents, manage files, etc., using this application (including but not limited to PDF files, image materials, OCR recognition results, etc., hereinafter collectively referred to as "User Core Content") is stored solely on your local device and is under your control and management.

We will not collect, upload, store, or access your User Core Content in any form. All related data processing will be completed locally on your device as much as possible to ensure your document privacy and security.

Non-Identifiable Information Required for the Service

To ensure stable application operation, optimize service experience, and provide in-app advertising (IAA) services, we may collect a small amount of anonymous information that cannot directly identify you through integrated third-party SDKs. This includes:

Device technical information: such as device model, operating system version, unique device identifier (IDFA), system language, network connection type, IP address, etc., used for targeted advertising, advertising performance statistics, and prevention of malicious behavior;

Application usage data: such as function usage frequency, operation click records, application crash logs, etc., used for analyzing application performance, fixing program vulnerabilities, and optimizing feature design and user experience.

Third-Party SDK Categories and Descriptions:

Advertising SDK: Used for in-app ad display and performance statistics;

Statistics SDK: Used for application performance analysis and vulnerability patching.

System Permission Description

To implement core service functions, this application requires your explicit authorization to access the following system permissions, strictly adhering to the "least necessary" principle:

Camera Permission: Only for capturing images and converting them to PDF files (including image acquisition required for OCR recognition). Scanning functionality is unavailable without authorization.

Album/Photo Library Permission: Only for importing local images to generate PDF files (including image import required for OCR recognition). Material selection from the album is unavailable without authorization.

Storage Permission: Used for file import, allowing the application to access, read, and modify PDF files stored in the system folder according to your instructions.

You can view, manage, or revoke the above permission authorizations at any time through device system settings. Revoking authorization will not affect previously completed legitimate data processing activities, but will cause the corresponding core functions to malfunction.

Information Storage Security

Rules

Core User Content: Stored on your local device. The storage period is determined by you, and you can actively delete it through application functions or device management.

Anonymous Information Collected by Third-Party SDKs: The storage period follows the privacy policies of the corresponding third-party services. After the necessary usage period, the third party will clean up or anonymize it according to its rules.

Protection

We use industry-standard security technologies and protection mechanisms (such as data encryption and access control) to protect the collected anonymous information and prevent risks such as data loss, unauthorized access, and leakage.

However, given the complexity of the network environment, the limitations of technological development, and potential system vulnerabilities, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of information transmission and storage.

Core user content is stored on your local device, and its security depends on your device's protection measures (such as device password, lock screen settings, and security software protection). You are solely responsible for any information leakage caused by device loss, theft, or hacking.

This application does not provide data backup or cloud synchronization services. You need to back up important data yourself by exporting it to a file app, photo album, or third-party storage service. We are not responsible for the loss of core user content due to equipment malfunction, misoperation, or application uninstallation.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

We strictly protect your information security and will never sell or rent any form of user information. Information sharing or disclosure may only occur under the following limited and legal circumstances:

Sharing with third-party service providers: We will only share the aforementioned anonymous information with third parties providing advertising and data analysis services. These third parties must comply with their own privacy policies and relevant laws and regulations, and we will not provide them with any core user content.

Based on legal compliance requirements: We may disclose relevant information in accordance with the law when explicitly required by laws and regulations, or when mandated by judicial or administrative authorities.

Transfer of business assets: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, relevant information may be transferred along with the business assets to the new rights holder. This new holder must continue to comply with the privacy protection obligations stipulated in this policy; otherwise, we will require them to cease using and delete the relevant information.

To disable personalized ads on your iOS device, please follow these steps:

Open the Settings app on your iOS device;

Scroll down and tap Privacy & Security (iOS 14 and above) or Privacy (iOS 13 and below);
